It Wasn't My Fault

Alternate title: Why I Blame Others For My Road Down to You-Know-Where That's Paved with Good Intentions.
I had this plan for my day. It involved work, gym with my friend, institute, then meeting up with another friend. But do you know what happened? While I was at work, I got a text from my friend saying she's sick and couldn't work out today. So do you know what I did? Instead of going to the gym and working out alone, which I am fully capable of doing, I did the opposite. I went to Gandolfo's to get a sandwich. And it was good. And I liked it. And then, maybe I totally skipped institute. But hey, my plans for meeting up with a friend later tonight are still standing.
But that's why it's my friend's fault, not my own, that my good intentions are leading me down the hot place.

In other news, it turns out I have a non-medically-diagnosed case of multiple personality disorder. Awesome, right?
But seriously, I love nothing more than being barefoot, and yet I own...a lot of shoes. I was going to put how many I own, but I don't want you to judge me.
Also, I am hating that the summer is ending, but I am in love with the fall colors I'm starting to see every day.
My favorite TV shows are Biggest Loser and Man vs. Food. No way can those two concepts co-exist peacefully.
And, my "pump up" songs on my ipod are Lose Yourself, by Eminem (don't worry-I linked to the clean version) and Reach for the Stars, by S Club 7. Those songs aren't even kind of similar. I'm pretty sure if they ran into each other on the street, Eminem's song would beat up S Club 7's song. But seriously, both of them get me going on the treadmill (that I skipped running on today...remember?) when all I want to do is push stop and go spend an hour in the sauna.

Maybe can one of my personalities take the punishment for things that aren't my fault, and the rest can still be saved in the end?

You know one of your personalities will always be hiding in the closet eating chocolate covered strawberries one after the other :)

I have to admit, I do rather like Eminem. Considering I like to be nude in public, that shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone.

It's okay to skip the gym once in awhile (especially if it's your friend's fault). It's the skipping institute that will send you straight to H-E-double hockey sticks. Or at least half of you.

Who do I blame for never ever making it to the gym despite all my good intentions? And skipping institute for a good sandwich is sometimes just plain necessary.

Be sure to stalk up on sun tan lotion, spf 1000 should do it.

I haven't ridden my bike in a month because my friend hasn't. He's a high priest, man is he in trouble.

This was an awesome post. I loved it. And can I sit next to you on the bus to you know where? We can sing camp songs all the way.

I own a lot of shoes as well and yet spend most of my day shoeless. Maybe that's why I like you! In a totally non-creepy blog friend sort of way.

Its funny how many times acquaintances are surprised by something you say, do, or own? Its so fun to be a study in opposites. Who knows what you'll do next!.

I listen to books on tape while running. How's that?

I love to blame my lack of working out on anybody besides myself.
And it's a good thing you have super small feet- none of us could borrow your many shoes even if we wanted to! (Although I did appreciate borrowing some in High School for Prom and such!)

It is about time you came back here and made me feel better about myself. Sheesh.
Hey, I was doing a workout DVD the other day and had the food network "unwrapped" on in the background!

OK, your foot/shoe dilemma? Totally me!

And your friends are going to have a lot of answering to do if they lead you to the hot place. I mean, someone has to take responsibility. Am I right?

I also have a bazillon shoes and only wear around 5 of them. The rest are back up, or ones I'll never wear again, but can't part with!

I don't think you're on the path to H--- just because your friend caused you to skip the gym one day or that you listen to Eminem or that you ate a Gondolfo sandwich! Just put on one of your pair of sensible shoes and keep moving...away from the dark side!

Do you have names for your multiple personalities?

This post reminded me that I have seventeen thank you cards to write.

Also, Jillian would kick your trash if she knew you skipped your workout and your ticket to salvation.
TBL forever!

I would have done the exact same thing. :)
I skipped the gym because my kid's home sick. I totally could have gone. He was asleep. But still.

My husband has only sisters and did not fully comprehend the enormity of shoes in terms of both importance and quantity when we were first married. He seriously thought it was a joke when he saw my siblings carry all my shoes out to the car. And I'm MODERATE. Now he still doesn't quite understand, but he tacitly tolerates all the shoes.

Oh, if one of my personalities could be blamed for all things PMS that would be awesome! Because I think I have PMS entirely too often to blame it all on hormones. :)

I watch the Biggest Loser with a milkshake in hand.
Enjoy the voices in your head...really.

See, if you get a pet, you can blame everything on it: not going to the gym, eating french fries, hangover...you name it, the pet will be held responsible and you're off the hook!
