Don't Pretend You Haven't Been Dying to Know What I Did This Summer

*Warning---there may or may not be lots of pictures in this post. But I may or may not have had an epic summer that I want recorded and shared.*

I went to some great movies, concerts and plays.

Like Aida at the Scera

Benton Paul at Sammy's. Is it just me, or does my foot look creepily tiny in this picture?

Outdoor concert featuring the entire Abbey Road playlist.

Monte Carlo with cousins. (And no, there is no sarcasm involved when I say it's a great movie.) (Okay, maybe a little bit of sarcasm.)

Played in the mud...

...at the Dirty Dash

...and on an epic slip and slide.

I scootered.

And defended my Leg-wrestling Champion of the World title.

And reconnected with old friends. Not old in age---but old as in I've known them since I was seven. SEVEN! And the four of us haven't been together like that since high school. And we talked for three hours and still didn't talk about all we could have and I loved every second of it and I love that those three girls are such a huge part of my life!

I went hang-gliding.

And remember how I told you about climbing that awful mountain? Here's the proof.

I made it to the top of this thing!

Here's the glacier of death. I swear it's ten times more steep than it looks.

And here I am with the brothers I still like even after they guilted me into hiking with them.

Bo-ring!

I mean, FUN!! That glacier does look deadly. But everything else? FUN! And I like how you pointed out your foot to try and make us think that they aren't ACTUALLY that freakishly small, which they clearly are. How did you maintain your balance on your hike!?! (thought I guess mountain goats can do it, and they have pretty small feet, though, admittedly they have four of them)(Sorry about this comment. It's late.)

P.S. Word verification is "shabie", which it sounds like your summer vacation was not too.

You are so adventurous and fun!! I love that you went hang gliding - Woot Woot and I love the mud pictures - ha ha!!
That huge slip and slide was amazing and it looked like it was in Switzerland, but then I remembered it was in Monte Carlo...or maybe I am mixing something up here - ha ha.
You did have a very fun summer!

Totally epic for sure. I would never go hang gliding, something about a fear of heights, but I am glad I can live vicariously through you.

Girl, I hate to be the one to tell you, but you do have creepily tiny feet - and I miss them!!! BOOOOOOTS!!!

What fun you had. How was the hang gliding? I'd like to hear how it felt to fly.

Epic for sure! The hang gliding thing is awesome- I ALMOST did that once. Almost. Then I met my spouse and he told me his brother-in-law had been killed there hang gliding and that sorta put a chill on it. I totally should have done it BEFORE I met my spouse- opportunity lost now! Good for you for getting out there and livin' it up!

Yes, your foot does look creepily small.

YOU DID NOT GO HANG GLIDING!!!!!
Don't you ever do it again. I think I might have had a seizure just looking at the pictures.

So cool that your childhood friend claim you after being all dirty at the dash and all.

Yes, your summer was epic!

No, not creepy...just weird. Much better, right?
What an awesome experience hang gliding! I am far, far too wimpy. It looks like a great summer!

Hard to not have a totally fun summer when you are such a fun person to be around yourself! You are seriously awesome, Barb. And I'm motivated to make sure to get the hang-gliding thing in before I get too old! And is Monte Carlo a good movie to recommend for date night then? :)

Your life is way more exciting than mine. So in extreme jealousy I will now make a rude comment: Maybe it's not that your foot is so tiny but that your head is so huge.

There, now I feel better.

Holy Moly girl...you have had one ADVENTURE
love it..
what mountain was that you climbed....good for YOU
and you are now right UP THERE in my book
cause any gal who can leg wrestle...and I CALL IT SQUAW Wrestling (may not be politically correct..tee,hee).......is amazing in my book
my mom got her nose broken during a squaw wresting competition with her sister...........and that was when she was in her 60's.
whooopeeeeeee
