So, this one time...

My cousin Becky thinks I need to blog again. I think she's crazy. Anyway. I was gonna tell you about all the awesome things for which I'm thankful---tis the season and all---but then I decided to tell you a story instead. I went to a gas station. To get gas. And the first pump I went to had a screen that didn't work. So after trying for a few minutes to figure out what to do, I gave up and pulled up to the next pump. Only I didn't pull up far enough. And after putting in my card and entering my zip code, I realized that the hose couldn't reach my car. Awesome. So I had to put the hose back in the pump, turn my car back on, pull forward, turn my car back off, get the hose back out...but then the pump started being temperamental and wouldn't work and I needed gas!! But also I was really embarrassed. So I drove away to another gas station. And this station wouldn't authorize my card till I went inside. So that's what I did. And I finally got gas. But it was a nightmare. The end.

Haha. You are funny. Also you should know I have no idea why that saying about the kettle means. I've heard it once and that was in 13 going in 30. I was trying to use my knowledge from that quote to figure out what you meant. Then I gave up. Yay for blogging!

That was a captivating story. I had to skip to the end to make sure you did eventually get gas, and then I was able to go back and calmly read the middle. Glad you're back to blogging!

I think your next story should be about the other kind of gas.

I've been you in that story before :)
I have a gas station story from this week, too. The lady behind me started filling up then got back in her car and started texting while she waited. Only the handle didn't snap off when the tank was full and gas started pouring out everywhere, but of course she was sucked into her electronics and didn't notice. Myself and two other people were running toward her car trying to get her attention & stop the pump. I smelled like gas for the rest of the day.

Yay for a Barbara story! I loved picturing each step of that fun adventure! At least you didn't try to take the pump with you to the next gas station when you finally left (oops, sorry Jess!). I'm excited to see you in a few days!!!!!!

Oh, how I love reading stories of other spazzes. :) No, it could have happened to anyone. But this story perfectly illustrates why I really hate getting gas.

haha - looks like blogging is coming back "in" - or at least we're back to doing it???

Seriously though - your comment may have just saved my blog - I thought to myself "if I write this, and a tree falls in the forest without making a sound, then I can just call it good..." so thanks, glad I don't have to call it good because I missed it!!!
