Quirkiness

Buffaluffagus tagged me. Cuz she thinks I'm quirky---but she is wrong. I'm just a Plane Jane. But anyway...here are six quirky facts about me.

1. Lately I have this thing where I don't like my dreams. So, in order to avoid them I stay up until I can hardly walk straight and then go to bed. I'm usually so tired that I don't remember any dreams I had. That would probly explain why I'm writing this at nearly 1 AM...

2. I hate Halloween. I think it's the worst holiday ever---and a horrible excuse for organized begging. I'm hoping that when I have kids I'll somehow be able to raise them without them realizing it exists.

3. I argue with myself on a frequent basis. Then I get mad at myself for arguing with myself and then tell myself to shut up. Then I tell myself to be nice to myself and also that I shouldn't talk to myself so often.... it's a vicious cycle.

4. I can't listen to the radio or watch TV with the volume on an odd number. It drives me crazy. Except for intervals of 5---which is nice cuz I hate the number 6 or any number that contains it. So basically, even numbers and 5, 15, 20 25....I don't like the number ten, either. Or 30. And I could live without the number 70...but no one ever turns the volume up that high. Right?

5. I don't think the color pink has any place in athletics. Especially pink soccer balls. I just feel like there's something superficial about it.

6. When I lived in Arizona it was really hot at night and so I slept on top of the covers. Now, I'm all used to that and never sleep under the covers anymore. But hey---I never have to make my bed now!

See, I told you---Plane Jane.

I tag Mishelley and return the favor to Trisha.

You're funny. Ok, except for number 2. That's just not funny. I will DO ANYTHING FOR FREE CANDY. You here me?!!! ANYTHING. You really should send me some candy just for saying you don't like Halloween. I'm not kidding. But other than that - you're funny.

i, too, must have the volume on an even number!
were we separated at birth?!?

What is this even number stuff?!?! I have never even thought of that.

And I always have to sleep under something, no matter how hot it is.

You are not the only person you argue with you know! LOL!! Yeah, you are plane jane!

Uh... you're kind of a freak. We should definitely be friends!!

Number two I agree with, but Halloween is when the candy corn makes an appearance. I'd sell my own soul for candy corn.

Number four makes me feel normal.

And number five is something I've never even thought about, but I found myself nodding thoughtfully as I read it.

Are you having nightmares and that's why you aren't liking your dreams?

I'm in LOVE with Halloween. I would marry it if you could legally marry a holiday. I love spooky things. Plus, being a parent it's a nice, stress-free holiday, whereas Christmas is great but EXTREMELY stressful.

pink soccer balls/baseballs/tennis balls/etc... make me want to run screaming. Does Women's Lib really mean splashing a fey color on normally gender neutral items?

and really, I thought I was the only one who was that weird about numbers... (and yes, my hubby does turn the volume up that high... drives me to drink!)

Glad I'm not the only one with the crazy numbers obsession, and that there are those that agree about pink sports paraphernalia.
I am used to being severely chastised for my Halloween feelings-so I can take it. Melissa-maybe I can send you all the extra candy left from the 31st, of which there will be plenty since I refuse to answer the door after nine. I'm harsh like that.
Uh, Becky---I thought we already were friends. Yikes. Glad it's official now:)
Buffy--I would love to rumble with you.
And Alyson, less nightmares and more just stuff I don't like. Does that make enough sense while still maintaining vagueness. Cuz that was my goal:)

I though of you when I recorded my Seussical moment.

I'm not quirky either. I mean, I was talking to Cheryl, that girl I always see in my upstairs bathroom, and she and I definitely think the whole quirky tag thing is way overdone.

Holy Ganoly! You don't like Halloween? It's such a fun time of year, and there's no way you're gunna keep it away from your kids! And that volume thing with all the numbers - totally weird! :)

I disagree I think that you are very quirky! I generally don't like my dreams either.. I think it is because that is where I work out all my hidden issue that I don't even know exist! LOL

I'm so number 3...I'm glad someone else does that, because I would never have admitted to it! lol!

About your comment on my broski's wedding: I put that picture on there for you just because of your love of Cousins. I hoped you would notice that. You never fail me....

I live in arizona and I cannot sleep on top of the covers, even in the deepest, darkest, hottest August nights. I just sweat up a storm under there and change the sheets a lot. Or I turn down the air to like 73 degrees, then hide the 500 dollar electric bill.

Making beds is a waste of time. I could be blogging.

Other than the covers thing, you are totally normal.

Emerson does that same trick with the bed thing-as to avoid the making of it. However, she finds a snuggly blanket to cover her and then throws it on the floor in the morning. Tricky you are!! I will have to think on this tag - give me a bit!!

Love that number four. You're hilarious.

I argue with myself too. Before I stayed at home with y boy, my desk was out in the open. People always asked if I responded to my arguments too. Of course, I did.
