Virtual Shopping Spree?

So over on Chief's blog yesterday she wrote about the five clothing items she'd buy with an open ended line of "cyber credit." Meaning...the money doesn't actually exist, but if it did, this it what I'd get.

First of all, I'd get this jacket. I used to have it---obviously. Seeing as that's me in front of "Barb's Place" somewhere in Canada. But then it got lost. I have no shortage of jackets, but this was a favorite. And I want it back.

Second, I'd get some Uggs. I spent many months mocking these shoes. Mostly cuz whenever people wore them it was with mini-skirts. A mini-skirt and sweaty-feet shoes? Not exactly a realistic combination. Then I put my friend's on the other day. Holy cow those things are comfy! Her's also happened to be five sizes too big so I tripped about eight times in the 30 minutes I had them on. But, now I want some. I have no idea when or where I'd wear them...but I know I'd love them.

I don't have a picture of my third item, cuz it doesn't exist. I want a magical pair of running shoes. It's SO hard finding good ones! I have really small feet, so more often than not I have to order them. But I also have high arches so I need good support. Or I need to add it in. And then if I run too much I start to get shin splints. I want shoes that make that not happen. For now I've solved the problem by not running. Yeah...not a good solution.

Anyway, I said five things, but those are the only three I REALLY want. That's not to say I wouldn't buy more clothes...I happen to love new clothes. But I just moved into a new house (more on that later) and am still reeling at the amount of clothes and shoes that needed to be moved and trying to figure out how I'll find room for them all. My family likes to joke that I've gone above and beyond the requirement to have a "two year supply" of things and I have my eight year supply of clothes.

What would you buy on your virtual shopping spree?

A crap load more than that! I could probably pick 100 things.

lol Kristina!!! She's still young. We need to teach her more about the materialistic things in life like... front row 50 yard line season tickets to BYU football games....European Cruises....hiring someone to work for you so that you can do all this.....snuggies for the whole family (including the dog)....oh yes, the list is endless.

probably a boob lift..you had to ask.

I'd buy a tummy tuck and diamonds... (Is that superficial?)

Ok, so short story on shin splints. My friend was training for a marathon and got shin splints pretty bad, but kept training and didn't rest. Then on the day of the marathon he was running and his leg was hurting pretty bad but he wouldn't stop and all the studden his leg just shattered. Seriously, he broke his bone in several places.
Morale of the story - order your special shoes if you need them. Or you could take up biking.

If energy was "purchasable" that would be the top of my list.
Second, I want a really nice dressy topcoat (not sure of the terminolgy here).
Third, new carpet!

I love your list. And this whole idea. I'll have to give it some thought!

a virtual shopping spree --WOW, my mind is spinning. I don't really go anywhere now that would necessitate anything looking COOL and DIVA-esk.
I need me a good warm hat though --kinda like the Russians wear.
I got some good boots for working with the horses.
Got me a good flannel farm coat.
What more could I want (tee, hee)

I also have mocked Uggs for some time now. I guess I will have to give them a shot now. As for the imaginary money to pay for them...

As for my shopping spree?

Gap Argyle Socks. The calf and ankle ones that match. I already buy them now so I guess it might not count but I love to get so much more.

Jeans. That fit perfectly whatever and whenever the mood. I am not a jean collector but a couple pair of jeans that fit amazingly all the time, whatever the price, would be nice.

Black North Face Fleece. All my life. Never have owned one but heard they are the shiz.

And finally, all the MAC make-up I will ever want. It's quality stuff and lasts forever. I love it.

Um, I really don't know. Weird that this is a hard question for me... and that I'm somewhat stressing about it! There was a time when I was shopping every week for new apparell but apparently I've gotten over it. YA!

Oh, nothing for me. I don't care for material possessions. (Hee hee)

I hate losing (or outgrowing, or when they die of old age) favorite items of clothes/shoes. So sorry about your jacket.

haha - I just spent quite a long time being fit for some fancy walking shoes that I could wear with my arch supports (they weren't cheap)...

a virtual shopping spree for me??? would one purchase from Barnes and Noble count as one choice???

Wow - ummm this time of year it would be Ugg boots (child #2), the ring daughter #1 has been eyeing, and a Wii for daughter #3. Of course I could go on and on...

You shut up right now! That picture was totally taken in Victoria and I have TOTALLY been to Barb's. In fact, Ad and I stayed RIGHT beside Barb's. I don't know if you ate there, but I hearted it.

My husband has a favorite shirt he still talks about like your coat. I hate it when you loose good pieces of clothing.

I'd love to get some fantastic fitting jeans. I've never tried expensive ones but if I had the money it might be fun to try.

And I'd love to get a flattering skirt and probably a nice winter jacket. I dont think I've had a nice one since I was in like 8th grade.

If only I could be as easily pleased as you are!

As far as your hoodie goes, I HATE it when I lose a favorite item of clothing. It totally stinks. Sorry about that. :(

I want Uggs too. Really bad.

I bought a pair of UGGS this year, and can't wait to wear them. I am thnking they will be very comfortable!
Oh, I use Asics Gel Kayano (whatever the current model is) for running. Good stability and a I have a high arch as well, so they work well for me. Kellys Running Warehouse has them for a great price!

We really are the same person, Barbaloot. I had the BIGGEST aversion to Uggs for the longest time. I would totally put them down, especially when I would see someone like Paris Hilton wearing them. We live in California, for pete's sake.

Then one day I went to Nordstrom and tried on a pair.

Love.

You must buy a pair.

You won't regret it.

You need these more than magic running shoes.

Ugg boots are perfect for little league football games. Wait where was the lace leggings collection, I know you'd be buying that to go with the mini skirt and Uggs.

If you ever figure out the running shoes let me know. I can never find a pair that doesn't leave me with blisters on the bottom of my feet, I too am thinking the not running option is just not working well.

You are so cute, I love the jacket, mine is similar but black. I'd be fetal for weeks if I lost it.

Oooo! I heard that in big cities they have Runners stores where you can go in and they look at your feet and can tell you what shoes to get to maximize comfort and minimize pain. They have you stand on machines to tell where you put your pressure and then recommend shoes for you. I've never been in a store like that because I live in po-dunkville and I hate running. :)

I'd really like a bunch of perfect jeans- comfortable, flattering, not too long, etc, and I'd like tons of t-shirts that are really cute and ok to wear every day except Sunday.

New earrings from one of those Itsy (?) stores, a new hot water heater, and a bag full of Christmas toys (Is that more than one thing? I think not!)

Right now, while looking at my kitchen and wondering if I should get off the computer and clean or just go to bed...I'd buy a maid! A full fledged, awesomely thorough cleaning lady!

Can you believe RUDY from last night? Talk about being a "player". Did you watch Leno last night with Rebecca, she looks SOOO good.. did you hear she's dating Daniel? Does that seem weird to you?
