I Was Fine Until Just Now

It's been over 48 hours since my cell-phone was "misplaced." I'd like to believe it was stolen and mistreated by one of the many children that recently spent Saturday at the home of my parents. But...let's be honest. It probly just fell out of my pocket and is only about 3 feet away from me, but since it's not in plain sight, how would I know?! Since I'm ridiculously OCD and only have ONE place for all my possessions-I don't even have a place to look for the dang contraption.

Anyway, I didn't really care until JUST now. You'd think I'd be worried about all the calls I'm not getting from my non-existent boyfriend. But really-it's no big deal. He can just leave a message.

Nope. The reason I'm finally bugged, is cuz my favorite made-for-TV movie is on and I can't text my old roommate or my funny cousin to tell them and I KNOW they'd love it! It's Lucky 7. With Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Patrick Dempsey. And for the record, I fully liked Patrick before he got annoyingly famous from that lame-o TV show. Way before. Like, Can't Buy Me Love before. And PS-Brad Paisly is way better than Patrick.

If you haven't seen Lucky 7---turn on your local Lifetime channel, cuz odds are they will be showing it lots for the next couple days. That's how they roll.

OK, I think I love you.

First, I was in love with Patrick Dempsey in Can't Buy Me Love. My mom didn't want me to watch that show because she said it was smutty. So, I promptly went over to a friend's house to watch it.

And I LOVE Lifetime movies, as evidenced by today's post.

Put Dempsey and LTMs together, and it's a match made in heaven. Like peanut butter and chocolate. Completely delicious.

Not sure if this is possible, but can't you use an instant messaging program to text your friend?

Probably knowing the world, by the time you figure out how to do it the show will be over.

The thing that bugs me most when I lose something, is knowing it's JUST SITTING SOMEWHERE while I go crazy looking for it.

And if I had tv I would totally watch that movie. It definitely sounds like a winner.

I love that show! And yes, Grey's Anatomy is uh, well, let's just say it's not the best show out there.

I hope you find your phone!

I lose my phone all the time, then have to call it to discover it is under my butt.

I love the frequent rerun channels...Lifetime and Bravo, what would I do without them?

I'm a fan of Brad Paisly too!!!

I'm assuming the phone is off or dead, right? If not, obviously, you can try to call it and see if you can hear it somewhere around you.

Sucks not to text and important times like these, doesn't it? My niece got rid of texting to save money and there have been like a million times I've wanted to text about a little thing and BLASTED, I can't!

LOVE Can't Buy me Love! Have to watch that again.
I am one who always lose things. I've lost my wedding ring twice, only to find it years later..so I don't wear it anymore because I'm afraid I'll lost it again (who am I kidding, the ring doesn't even fit anymore, that really hurts)

Okay, Patrick Dempsey. I was just watching him last night when he was in his teens and Kirsty Alley was trying to seduce him. Can I just say he has aged so well. I mean talk about from geek to chic. (That rhymes better when you say it.) He's so HANDSOME NOW. Not that he wasn't cool then, but you know.

I hope you find your phone. I'll put Lucky 7 on my list of must sees.

And can I just say that was the longest comment I've ever seen Kristina P. write. You really made her happy. Either that or she loves peanut butter and chocolate.

lifetime television, huh. aka television for man-haters.

I haven't seen Lucky 7, but if it's on Lifetime, I can guess the plot: Abusive husband kidnaps children and heads for mexico, while emotionally-scarred wife battles through emotional and physical obstacles to get children back and find herself newly empowered as a result.

Ahhhhhhhh,
The days I spent as a teenager dreaming of Patrick,.....

huh? Oh sorry I was in a day dream, ahem,

Well all I can say is sorry you lost your phone,....

Oops sorry there I go again! hehe.

For those of you who made the suggestion to call my phone to find it....there's just one small problem. I keep my ringer really soft. As in, you can only hear it if you're within 1 foot of it. Because I hate that noise. So, basically my freakish habits have made it virtually impossible for me to find me phone.

And Josh-your comment cracked me up! That's exactly what my brother always says Lifetime and Oxygen are all about. But since this movie was originally made for ABCFamily---you're wrong:)

Alyson, glad you can empathize with me. Some things have to be shared, but calling or emailing will never have the same effect as a text.

I had to say "uncle" and get a new cell phone this month too. So irritating. How am I supposed to call and get everyone's number when I don't have their number in my new phone to call????

Sometimes I kind of wish we could watch TV together.

I still love Patrick Dempsey. I think he is soooo cute! Anyway, did you find your phone yet? Oh, and by the way it is Joseph not Brandon in the pic, just thought you might like to know.

As a fellow Mom severely affected with OCD, all I can say is trust in the universe. Someday, hopefully soon, your phone will find its way back to you and it will be a happy reunion.

Also, I have to say that I adored this post. Can't find your phone to text about Lucky 7, well then, do the next best thing...head over to the blog! :)

BTW: I can't believe that someone other than me loves this movie. Lifetime has seen me through many a late night of TV watching. Life just wouldn't be the same without the made for TV movies of such high caliber!

I lost my cellphone in Hong Kong and when I rang it, a Chinese person answered. Unfortunately, he couldn't speak English which is so RUDE seeing as how I went ALL THAT WAY on vacation! The least they could do is learn my language!

So inconsiderate.

And I didn't get my phone back.

I didn't know you like that show. I have owned it for years and LOVE it! I guess there's a reason we've ended up such great friends-we have excellent taste in movies!
