Top Ten Reality "Stars"

I realize writing this post will expose just how much I enjoy reality TV...but I think I can at least find a support group with Kristina and Deb , so I'll risk it. Now, this top ten list is comprised of my current top ten reality stars so it means I can't write about Gev from SYTYCD, Pete from Season 2 of Biggest Loser or even New York (not the city or State, but the crazy female whose mother is "always telling the truth even when she is lying!"). And I do realize that I'm using the word "stars" in a VERY broad sense of the word.

10. I can't think of a #10---I did this backwards. I'm sure once So You Think You Can Dance is in full swing I'll have plenty more favorites...but I guess you just get the top nine for now.
9. Michael Irvin: former NFL wide receiver on Dancing with the Stars. I love how he's trying to compete with Jerry Rice and I love when he mouths the words to the song when he's dancing. Hilarious.
8. Laura on American's Next Top Model. The girl seems beyond clueless, but according to the judges takes a fierce picture. Now, I don't know if it's fierce or frightening, I'm just telling you what they say. I just like her attitude---she's very southern country and humble, and really, how can you not like that?
7. Clinton Kelly and Stacy London: hosts of What Not to Wear. Considering my last post, do I even need to explain that? Speaking of which, I just have no idea how to upload my video of that...if anyone knows how and can tell me, I'll be happy to share it. Or at least parts of it.
6. Rev Run and his family: starring on Run's House on MTV. Okay, their lifestyle is definitely not normal or something with which I can relate---but c'mon, it's a family on a reality show that is actually supportive of each other and that communicates and cares for each other. How do you not like that? Plus, one time the mom got confused (okay, she always seems a little confused) but she thought her daughter had bought a mountain lion. I'll never understand the process of how she got there.
5. Can The Soup count as reality TV? Cuz if so, then totally Joel McHale. He's absolutely hilarious---and I'll never get tired of the Whitney Houston clip he plays.
4. Kelly Osbourne: Daughter of Ozzy on Dancing with the Stars. Seriously---who would've thought that the offspring of the most disoriented, dysfunctional couple could make me almost cry? She was darling on Tuesday night, and her mom was crying she was so proud. I'm sure Ozzy would have been too if years of drug use and communing with the dark side had not rendered him incapable. She's totally my favorite of the women right now.
3. Coach Mo on the Biggest Loser. His face looks so sad to me---hopefully that changes after he loses lots of weight, right? But he still is so kind to everyone. I just hope he's always that awesome, and doesn't go all crazy like some other past contestants.
2. Louie Vito: Professional Snowboarder and current competitor on Dancing with the Stars. Seriously-watch 5 minutes of this kid in rehearsals and you'll love him, too. He kind of looks like he has no idea what he's doing....but he tries so hard and I love watching him and Chelsea together.

1. Chuck "the Iceman" Lidell: Mixed Martial Artist and former UFC champ now on Dancing with the Stars. I might like this man even more than I liked Ty Murray when he was on. He started out the first week so clueless, and I got a kick out of watching him try to remember to smile while he performed. I hope he's on the show for a good long while.

Who are you favorite reality stars?

Coach Mo? Really? Because I can't imagine him motivating anyone to do anything. And come now, Stacy and Clinton are NUMBER SIX??? Now I feel bad for skipping DWTS this season.

You did a great job! I actually sort of love Jeff from Flipping Out. He's super OCD and demanding, but hilarious.

I love Jeff from Flipping Out too! hehehe! You also forgot Lil Mama from ABDC and how she manages to always make the show about her. What about Jordan winning Big Brother? hehehe!

You did a great job with your list! And YES! The Soup IS reality tv!!

I'm not a big reality TV fan, but I do love Stacy and Clinton. I really, really do.

I have never seen any of these. We just never watch t.v. So I'm a pathetic hermit when it comes to this stuff...but thanks to you and Kristina, I do feel enlightened every now and again! :)

oh Barb, Barb, Barb. I can only agree with #5, as The Soup makes fun of the shows that you watch.

I am so hopelessly lost when it comes to Reality TV. I do like to watch Clinton and Stacy, but now that I haven't had cable for 3 years, I don't watch. :)

I think I would really get into some of them if I actually sat down to watch. Especially the dancing ones.

I LOVE Stacy and Clinton, and I really liked Tara on Biggest Loser Season 7 in the Spring. She was voracious!

Girl, I am right there with you about Kelly. I was worse than Sharon. Sobbing. Sobbing, I tell you.

Love the Soup and Stacy and Clinton. I watch a lot of crime shows, so if they haven't been killed, I don't know who they are.

Oh, this is fun! I also adored all the footage of the Osborn family on Dancing with the Stars. I really grew to like Sharon Osborn on America's Got Talent. I also reall like Piers Morgan and Nigel Lythgoe. I haven't really clicked on anyone on the current SYTYCD from the contestant standpoint but I do like the brother of the guy who came in 4th last season, the one that tap dances. You know, the bald guy?

I am looking forward to SYTYCD and falling in love with another group of dancers.

I decided not to watch ANTM this season because I have too many other shows on my plate right now, but after you talked about it, now I'm having regrets. Maybe I should catch up online??

I'm sorry to say I have missed seeing the reality shows this season! What have I been doing? I've got to get back to watching TV.
However, the last season of Biggest Loser was something I wouldn't miss because I just got so involved with the people! What was your question again? Oh well, peace out!

If I didn't know even one single person that you were talking about does that mean I need to get a life? Or does that mean that you need to get a life?? :) just teasing!

Tiffany said...

just kidding, I lied. I know Stacey and Clinton and I sure do like them!

Hi, my name is Deb, and I support you. I'm right with you on The Soup. I confess I'm disturbed at your lack of Project Runway, Top Chef, and Real Housewives cred, but I can excuse that. Try "The Rachel Zoe Project" on Bravo sometime, though...watch grown adults go into shrieking melt-down mode because they didn't pack the right color of thong for Cameron Diaz's Oscar dress.

YAY - it's fun that you like some of the same reality shows as me. Get this --my significant other (soon to be spouse) actually sits and watches Dancing with the Stars with me. I LOVE IT!! must be true love.
I love Kelly Osborne, who would'a thought she'd be so cute. And Chuck Lidell, was sooooo fun. (Barry is a big UFC fan so he is loving it that he is on)
I also watch right now So You Think You Can Dance-Canada. Really neat.
AND -America's Next Top Model. Well after those girls posed naked (almost) on the horse, I wanted Barry to take me out on our horse and have me do a photo shoot!!!
Oh Yeah Baby.
