I'm Brilliant. Shh.

I started building a bookshelf for my room today. It's the DIY, comes in a box with all the screws, nails and stickers you need type shelf. I'm no Tim Taylor, but I still feel accomplished after the building is completed and the shelf becomes filled with my massive amounts of books.

Anyway, I'm opening the box, creating my assembly line, and I pull out the provided glue. There's a bright orange sticker on the package that says, "Dangerous if ingested." Well, duh. Anyone that has made it past kindergarten is aware of the fact that glue doesn't belong in your mouth. Without giving it another condescending thought, I began to build and as I was transferring screws, pegs and the like between hands what did I nearly put in my mouth? The glue. Yeah---that knocked my self-assumed brilliance down a few notches.

On a completely unrelated note:Kent on So You Think You Can Dance. I've always like the kid. He seems decent. But the worst thing they could have done to him was make him dance with Neil. Neil is everything that is right with dancing...as far as my limited knowledge goes. Next to him, Kent's previously charming, endearing self seemed trite and immature. Love Neil.

Also, if you know the reference of my blog title, you get 25 fake points. Unless your name is Emily K. in which case you should fully know it and if you don't you should be ashamed. Stop blushin. That's lame.

HaHaHa! You are hilarious Barb! I always stick things in my mouth when I'm working on them too. :)

Not only do I stick things in my mouth when I'm working I have to stick my tongue out to accomplish tasks that require focus so I'm always getting stuff in my mouth.

I really think you need to get to know my little sis. Soccer, books...books...

I'm impressed that you are going to put a book shelf together. I have to buy everything pre-assembled because everything falls apart when I touch it. Good for you!
I have no idea what your blog title reference is.

After Alex left, I stopped watching SYTYCD. It's off my DVR. I don't like the new format, everyone else annoys me, and I want to punch Mia Michaels in the face.

Hooray for Barb the builder! Hmm, now that I read that, I realize it sounds uncannily like a popular kids show. Any-who, I'm very happy that your books now have a place to live.

Congrats on the bookcase and for catching yourself before you stuck the glue in your mouth.
I hear it's pretty embarrasing to be around people when your mouth is glued shut - J/K Ha Ha!!

I don't watch SYTYCD so I'll take your word for it.

I'm a tongue sticker-outer when I build... ManOfTheHouse finds it hilarious. I find him not so hilarious at that time.

Yay for your building skills and a place to put the books - how soon are you going to have to build another bookcase - you know it'll happen :)

I'm not even going to give you the satisfaction on naming your blog title. But I will say you and Amanda Bynes should just kiss and get it over with.

I think you said once the reason bor the name of your blog,,,,but I can't remember.
I love SYTYCD....I just love watching all the amazing dances and wishing I were that agile and skinny.

I liked smelling glue when in elementary school

Do I know the title to your blog? Come on Barb! What are you a sheep? I'm so happy you got your bookshelf! Now comes the impossible task of picking the lucky ones that make the shelf. If i were you i'd go make sure that series with names of girls as the titles make it on there!
I'm pretty sad I'm missing SYTYCD. Maybe you should start writing a list of the awesome dances I need to see? I LOVE NEIL. I loved him when he was on the show and my love for him grew with American Mall. Does he still wear his ridiculous outfit of shorts with long socks?

KP cracks me up. Mia is okay, but when she does that weird smile I cringe. Yuck.

Alex was amazing, but I am falling for Lauren's dancing right now.

Dr. Seuss??

I totally agree with you. Neil is beautiful when he dances and Kent just looked like a little boy.

But I still love the kid and am rootin tootin for him

At least you DIDN'T put the glue in your mouth.

I would have. DOI!

How wonderful to need another bookshelf for all your books.

What a nice feeling.

I think this is going to last all day.

I am always the one to put that crap together. Why is there always extra parts when I get done.

I remember the teachers telling us the glue was made out of old dead horses. I don't know if that's true or not.

It was tempting though.

I totally do stuff like that all the time! Holding a bottle of water and a bottle of hairspray and nearly drink the hairspray---I'm a smart one!

That is too funny that you almost put the glue in your mouth! Please tell me you didn't almost dry your hair in the bathtub:)

You're building your own bookcase? You totally rock! Glad you thought twice before putting that glue in your mouth! I think the reason those silly warnings are on the glue is so when some fool decides to make a meal of glue and screws, he can't say, "No one told me not to!" I like the sun protectors in the windshield. They have the sign, "Remove before driving!" I guess we all need a little reminder.

The Lorax! That's 25 points for me! Woo-hoo!

I bought a dresser from IKEA the other day and waited two weeks for hubby to put together. I finally did it and felt like superwoman. Even though it took like 4 hours since I had three little people helping me. Good thing no one asked to eat the glue. :)

Wait, why did I think Joe put the book shelf together for you with the help of my darling Jack? How come I dont know what your blog title refers to? I guess I am not as cool as you!!!!!!! (I know how much you love exclamation marks, so that was for you)

That's sounds exactly how I would build a book shelf.

I am mad that this week on SYTYCD. They let Billy stay. Just sayin, he should have been booted for not dancing after he was cleared by the Dr.'s. He bugs me anyway. (I think his name is Billy)

I'm Nana by the way.

Love accomplishing something like that! Though I hardly ever try. It's too easy for me to tell Russ to do it. But every so often I get brave and stupid and go for it. :)

I watch SYTYCD, but I'm not really that into it. I don't even remember anyone's names.
