Why does my predictive text write "perverted" before "requested" when I text? Do people really use that word more than "requested?" Cuz that's just weird.
Also, the name Brian comes up "Asian." This is funny to me cuz I have an Asian nephew named Brian. Except he spells it (or rather, his parents spell it) Brien. Oh well.
My phone also chooses "in" before "go," and "he" before "if." It bugs me cuz I use the second options more often.
Maybe what all this means is that I text too much?

I never use predictive text. I like having typos.
I don't text so I don't understand this new fangled technology. And I tried to find a witty sentence that included He In Asian Perverted, but it didn't work out.
That drives me nuts on my phone too - I hate when it puts the wrong word there but then again, I love it when it gets it right and I can move on.
Can't win for losing! ha ha
P.S. Yes! You are right the leg lamp got broken in the movie. I was just talking THE leg lamp because I love that part of the movie when he brings it home - one of my favorite parts. I should get one just for fun- Ha ha
You are really smart if you are using predictive texts. I can't figure out how to fix it so I just qwerty.
Boring I know.
On my phone, Jordan comes up as Korean, of before me and FHE before did! It drives me crazy too, especially when I don't pay attention and have to go back and change it!
Perverted before requested? Hmmmm...interesting. OK, I just tried it on mine and it did the SAME thing! I hope it's because it's just alphabetizing!
Just the other day it did the same kind of thing for me.. I wish I could remember the word.
I love texting cuz it means you don't have to talk on the phone for long periods of time. My Mom and sister only text each other cuz othewise they'll be on the phone 4 3 hours! :-) I love family.
I so agree. I'm terrible because I rarely check what word the phone chose to use and I end up sending nonsensical things. But I have noticed that it chooses Asia for Bria. Which is just the same as Asian for Brian, but with an "n".
So my husband knows that if I text him to pick up Asia, he should get Bria at school. :)
I hate texting on my touch phone. I can't see the letters so I have no idea what I am saying. Yes...I am old.
Predictive text drives me crazy. I have to flip my phone open and use the full keypad. Plus that helps when I'm driving because I can feel the different keys and type without having to look down...as much. Not that I've ever texted and driven. I mean hypothetically speaking a full keyboard is better.
Oh Barb, I am a texting idiot. I. Do. Not. Text.
this hy-tec generation is passing me by.
On my older phone, the words I used more often would come up first and I could add words to my dictionary, but not my current phone. Gets kind of annoying. But my favorite prediction is when I write "this is Sara" but it comes out "this is Papa". Always makes me laugh!
I use perverted on a daily basis, actually, hourly. So, I must be the person responsible for that one. Sorry!
at work last year we finally just got to the point where we'd actually SAY "book" when we meant "cool"... since that's always what our texts would say.
I think, in my whole life, I've texted someone maybe twice. I'm still an email gal - even for little things. I don't know if that makes me cool in a "vintage"/stubborn/don't-care-about-hot-new-technology way or just super lame.
I'm gonna pretend it's the former.
I swear mine does if before he, and that is the one that drives me nuts, so if you wanna switch..anytime, I like your new phone.
Oh girl, you don't text too much, you just have a weirdie phone.
I have only texted twice and it took me 10 minutes to text 1 sentence. How pathetic is that?
I was going to say that it all depends upon what you text, but I'm starting to lean towards what Crash said… it's your phone!
If predictive text was a person, I would kick it in it's face. Thank HEAVEN my new phone lets me turn it off. I have sent some SERIOUSLY random (and embarrassing) texts out in the past!
That is so funny about your dad's office! I have only seen ONE photo from that shoot so far. And I had no idea what they were using them for, I just did the shoot because it was with one of my favorite photogs EVER and I wanted the free images! ;)
Barb - you always have so many great comments from you loyal followers, that I tend to not leave comments for fear they aren't being read. Even if they are not (which I don't even really care (: ), I just wanted you to know that I love reading this stuff! Most the time it is like I am reading what I had previously thought, and others it just makes me smile! If you even stop doing this, I would have to change my weekly schedule. Just FYI... LOVE YOU!
I have the same problem. HAHA!
Thanks for stopping by ImPossible
I'm having the same problem with my ipad. I would get rid of it but after three short weeks of togetherness, we are inseparable.
Barb, I haven't read Mockingjay yet either, so I didn't spill the beans in that post. I actually spilled the beans about my great grandma in that post. And the comments from Braden are hilarious. Don't worry. They are all fake so nothing will get ruined. Seriously.
I need to read that Mockingjay once and for all so I don't have to keep avoiding reviews and getting negatives vibes about it. I want to love it so bad.
That is too funny! I especially like the Asian nephew coicidence.
My old phone used to do that, but I don't use that on my blackberry.
It prbably has everything to do with WHO programs these little gadgets!
