Dear Peanut Butter and Chocolate~

We need to talk. I really don't know how to say this...but I think it's time that you and I separate. Don't look so shocked. You had to have known this was coming.

Listen, I think you're really great. And you're gonna make some lucky girl really, REALLY happy. I'm just not that girl.

Really, we just need a clean break. You have until tomorrow evening to get your stuff out of my house...and then it's over. And I know we talked about spending the Christmas Season together, but I don't think that's a good idea. If you feel the need to stop by for a little bit on Christmas Day, that's okay---but then you have to leave again.

Please don't make this harder than it has to be.

-Barbaloot

P.S. It's not me. It's you.

Let them know they always have a warm bed and a glass of milk waiting at my place. Thanks.

It's going to be tough...sometimes I think I'm strong enough to let go, then they call, and I melt like butter. It's no good.

I'm so sorry to hear about this heartbreaking turn of events in your life!

Tragic, really.

You'll be a better woman for it! You don't need them. They were bringing you down.

And like you say, I'm sure they'll find someone new. I believe there's a rather long queue waiting for a chance with them anyway!

(And it's so good of you to let them come for Christmas. I hope you're doing it for them and not for you, or you may find yourself overcome by their charms and unable to banish them again.)

Wow Barb! I thought the two of you were forever going to be together. I don't know what to say to make this easier for you...I guess you know you can always turn to me for a shoulder to cry on (although I won't be able to relate to you at all!) Good luck!

This is Em's Adam. SO FUNNY!!!! I miss our late night chocolate requests from Macy's. I guess Chocolate Day is over...since the break-up.

So, how long do you plan on this break-up lasting? Is it an 'until Christmas' deal, or are you trying to ban them FOREVER?

(Oh my gosh, I love it!)

You brave, brave soul. Letting someone go like that isn't easy to do. Never underestimate the sneakiness of Peanut Butter and Chocolate. My advise, from personal experience.

I feel your pain. My youngest is allergic to peanut butter and I've had to all but give up the peanut butter and chocolate treats.

You're much better at break ups than I am!

They can move right on over to my house. I have a permanent shelf that I think they would be really happy on!
;)
((You are really rather humorous. I am going to enjoy reading your blog.))
